MORAN — Uniontown Junior High defeated Marmaton Valley Junior High’s A-team 27-22 Tuesday.
Marmaton Valley led 12-3 after one quarter but trailed 16-12 at halftime. Uniontown held a 10-2 scoring edge in the third quarter. Marmaton Valley’s fourth-quarter rally fell short.
Chance Stevenson and Garrett Booth each had eight points for the Wildcags. Scoring two each were Michael Swift, Nick Trollope and Joey Jefferis.
Uniontown won the B-team game 36-14. Shaun Frye poured in 10 points for Marmaton Valley. Josh Miller and Austin Pinkerton had two points each.
In a two-quarter C-team game, Uniontown won 10-6. Michael Genn had four points for Marmaton Valley and Mitchell Covey two.
