Wildcat teams lose

GARNETT — Marmaton Valley Junior High’s boys and girls came up short Thursday against St. Rose.
The Wildcat boys staged a comeback from a 19-7 halftime deficit. They lost 36-29 to their hosts.
Keagan Boyd scored 12 points for Marmaton Valley. Gage Adams tossed in 11 and Chad Starliper added six.
The girls A-team game was knotted at 19-all after three quarters. St. Rose pulled away from Marmaton Valley for a 32-25 win.
Paige Scheckal fired in 24 points for St. Rose.
Lindz McNeil led the Wildcat girls with 10 points. Ashlynn Pinkerton had six followed by Misty Storrer with five. Kyla Drake and Mackenzie Tynon each had two points.
The B-teams played two-quarter games.  The MVJH girls lost 10-4. Storrer scored two points and Drake and Ruby Mann each had one. The MVJH boys lost 10-0.
