Ash Wednesday marks the start of the Lenten breakfast series for Iola area churches.
On Wednesday, residents are invited to First Presbyterian Church at 7 a.m. for a short worship service and meal.
Breakfasts will be held March 12 at First Christian Church; March 19 at First Presbyterian; March 26 at St. John’s Catholic Church; April 2 at Wesley United Methodist Church; April 9 at First Christian; and April 16 at Calvary United Methodist Church.
