Janie Works was given the Community Service Award by the Cofachique Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution Saturday. Karen Gilpin presented the award to Works for her success in creating a daycare facility that serves over 170 children, providing scholarship opportunities to Humboldt High School graduates, and working to sustain an Allen County recycling program.
