Arrests reported
Iola police officers arrested Jason Glukowsky, 33, Iola, for suspicion of aggravated battery following an incident Wednesday afternoon in the 400 block of South Sycamore Street.
Laura Simpson, 21, Iola, was arrested Monday at Iola Walmart for suspicion of interfering with law enforcement and making an unlawful request for emergency services after officers responded to a call in the 200 block of North Washington Avenue.
Trailer hit
Burnell Williams Jr., 37, was backing his highway transport at Gates Corporation March 20, when his semitractor-trailer assembly struck a parked trailer, officers said.
Gas meter struck
Hannah R. Bartlett, 20, was eastbound in an alley and turning north onto a private driveway in the 600 block of East Lincoln Street when she struck a gas meter.
