Arrests reported
Cheyenne Shanks was arrested by Iola police officers Thursday for suspicion of battery in the 600 block of North Cottonwood Street.
Officers arrested Richard Huston Wednesday for suspicion of driving while intoxicated and transporting an open container of alcohol in the 100 block of North Cottonwood Street.
Pedestrian hit
Rosa Shaughnessy was taken to the hospital April 28 when she was struck by a car driven by Ricky D. Hartley while Hartley was northbound in the Iola Walmart parking lot. Hartley was not injured.
Citations issued
Iola police officers cited Alan Daniels and Veronica Hinkle for disorderly conduct April 27 in the 600 block of North First Street.
Parking lot collisions
Iola police officers reported parking lot fender-benders recently.
On April 24, Haley R. Hampton was stopped in the 500 block of North State Street when her vehicle was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Cyler A. Clements.
Travis W. Ohman and Christiana Wilson collided at the Rookie’s Bar and Grill parking lot April 22. Oman was cited by police officers for leaving the scene of the accident.
An unknown motorist struck Annette Boggan’s car while it was parked at Riverside Park April 20, and then left without reporting the accident.
Bicycle found
Iola officers found a bicycle at Iola Elementary School Thursday.
Phone recovered
A phone was found Wednesday in the 300 block of South Fourth Street.
