Prairie Dell and Square B 4-H clubs met on June 7 at Iola’s Riverside Park for a joint meeting. 

Alston Nelson led the Flag Salute and 4-H Pledge.

Roll call consisted of listing favorite sports. Football, baseball, track, and hiking were mentioned.

Parliamentarian Luke Wicoff listed physical, mental and social benefits of singing at a 4-H meeting.  They included calming the heart rate, boosting the immune system, and reducing depression and stress.

Square B 4-H Club leader Becky Meiwes reported on the state 4-H communications project.

Abigail Meiwes and Mary Brown gave a demonstration on how to make a Dulce De Leche Cheesecake.  Josh Wanker shared information about their beehives and demonstrated how to remove the honey.  Carly Kramer shared some of her photos and talked about mounting and taking good photos.

Members played volleyball and enjoyed cookies and punch after the meeting.
