Thomas. H. Bowlus, president of the Allen County State Bank, says he will build a new bank building at the west corner of the intersection of South Street and Madison Avenue rather than remodel the present building. The two buildings now on the site will be razed. While the construction is under way, the bank will do business in the building on the southwest corner of Washington and Madison. HUMBOLDT — Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wulf have established a $10,000 memorial fund in the memory of their daughter, Miss Betty Rose Wulf, who was fatally injured in an airplane accident in India in 1952. The fund will help finance the construction of an auditorium and girls’ hotel at the high school in Vadakangulam, India, where Miss Wulf taught religion, English and handicraft. The school there is supported by the Lutheran church. Several groups in India, the employees of the Monarch Cement Company in Humboldt, members of the Humboldt Lutheran Church and others have contributed to the fund.
