HUMBOLDT — School board members have approved placing a “school bus stop ahead” sign along a rural county road.
The USD 258 Board of education voted, 5-0, to send the sign to Allen County commissioners so it can be placed along a hill near 269 Delaware Rd.
Drivers often travel too fast down a hill, making it potentially dangerous for students loading onto the bus.
Board members also approved a 3.1 percent salary increase for certified staff. An extra $29 will be added to insurance.
