High School Golf: Iola
The Iola junior varsity golf team battled through the wind on Monday at Independence to walk away with some fairly respectable scores.
Jeremy Waldman finished fourth after losing a three-way tie for second and shot a 50, Grant Luedke finished 13th and shot a 54 and Josh Kaufman ended up in 26th with a 66.
Jeremy had one bad hole that kept him from putting up a really good score and Grant had two rough holes that hurt his score, head coach Nick McAnulty said. The boys all putted very well today and that was encouraging to see progress…
