The Iola Area Ministerial Association is sponsoring a series of Lenten breakfasts, beginning at 7 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church.
The devotional, a tradition of the community for many years, is designed so participants may leave for work by 8 o’clock.
Breakfasts also will be Feb. 24 at Wesley United Methodist Church; March 3 at Covenant of Faith/Ward Chapel A.M.E. at Ward Chapel; March 10 at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church; March 17 at First Baptist Church; March 24 at Calvary United Methodist Church; and March 31 at First Christian Church, at its East and Buckeye streets location location.
The public is invited. Free-will donations go toward breakfast expenses and IAMA programs.
