MAIZE — Iola High School’s Bella Rahming, Lily Lohman and Bethany Miller ended their senior year on a high note Saturday.
The trio each brought home hardware from the State Speech and Drama Championships hosted by Maize High School.
Lohman and Rahming doubled up on winning state medals. Lohman took third in informative speaking, while Rahming placed fifth in the program of oral interpretation. Lohman and Rahming then teamed up for a fifth-place finish in improvised duet acting.
Miller wrapped up her high school career with a fifth-place finish in informative speaking.
Iola also had a number of semifinalists, guaranteeing each a top-12 finish.
Evie Schooler took seventh in serious solo acting. Teagan Noyes and Jeffrey Ashworth teamed up to place eighth in duet acting.
Ben Heiman and Kaeden Vega took ninth in improvised duet acting.
Rahming finished 10th in oral interpretation of poetry.
Callie Sterling and Logan Belknap finished 12th in duet acting.
Iola’s squad finished seventh overall out of 39 schools.
ADDITIONALLY, Alliyah Rhodes and Chloe Sinclair earned a I division rating in duet acting at the State Drama Festival. Piper Jordan and Rhodes earned a II rating in improvised duet acting.
