NEOSHO COUNTY — A family of three was pronounced dead after their home burned in rural Neosho County early Monday.
The Galesburg Fire Department reported the occupants, whose names were not released, were found in a residence near the area of U.S. 59 and 80th Road.
The fire was initially reported as a grass fire, but while en route, firefighters were notified it was instead a structure fire.
The house had burned to the ground by the time firefighters arrived, shortly after 1:30 a.m.
