Making new furry friends

The Allen County Fair has a lot to offer with events continuing throughout the weekend.

The Baby Barnyard at Riverside Park features baby animals of all kinds — bunnies, kittens, calves, and more — and is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday, and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday.

The Allen County Fair continues today with bucket calf and dairy shows in the morning, as well as basketmaking and spoon carving demonstrations.

A fair favorite — Barnyard Olympics — will take place at 1 p.m. The evening will play host to the meat goat show at 6 p.m., followed by Mutton Bustin’ at 7 p.m. and the Rodeo at 8 p.m.
