Arrests reported
Carl Seeley of Iola was arrested Saturday evening in the 1700 block of East Street for suspicion of driving while suspended and having an expired license plate, Iola police officers said.
Car struck
Bernard L. Stine, 81, was pulling out from a parking lot in the 700 block of North State Street Friday, when he realized he had pulled too far out into the intersection. As he backed his pickup, he struck a car driven by Susan McKinnis, 48.
Neither was hurt.
Pedestrian hit
Ron Conaway, 57, was westbound in the 1100 block of East Lincoln Street Sunday evening when a pedestrian, Jeffery J. Jones, 22, ran into the street and was hit by Conaways pickup.
Jones suffered possible injuries, Iola police officers said, but did not seek medical treatment at the scene.
Chainsaw stolen
Robert Klubek told police officers Saturday somebody stole a 28-inch Husqvarna chainsaw from his garage in the 1300 block of North Walnut Street.
Items burglarized
Tereasa Dilling of Iola told officers Saturday morning her mini storage unit in the 300 block of North Jefferson Avenue had been burglarized. Taken were an Xbox 360 gaming device with three controllers; two suitcases filled with figurines; a porcelain eagle with golden wings; three gun cases containing fishing poles; and approximately $400 worth of DVDs.
