Santa’s Toy Shop will open its doors this evening, as soon as a kazoo parade originating from Jefferson Elementary School will make its way to 7 E. Madison Ave.
Youngsters will be treated to hot chocolate, candy canes and other goodies before a one-on-one visit with St. Nick himself.
Kazoo players young and old are invited to line up in front of Jefferson Elementary starting at about 5:30. Organizers have kazoos for the first 200 who arrive.
After visiting with Santa, each child will get to select a single toy from his elaborately decorated quarters.
The toy shop runs tonight from 6 to 9, Wednesday and Thursday from 6 to 8 and on Saturday — Christmas Eve — from 5 to 7.
