Gail Dubray, 75, of Arma, died Saturday, March 21, 2026, at her home.

Mrs. Dubray was born Sept. 9, 1950, in Iola, Kan., the daughter of Charles Edward and May Elizabeth Wartick Luttrell. Gail was a retired principal from the Liberal R-II School District in Missouri where she worked from 1972 to 1997. She later worked for Brian Jones Realty and Big Brothers Big Sisters until retirement.

She was raised in Iola and graduated from Iola High School. She attended Kansas State Teachers College (PSU) and received a master’s degree in education.

After retirement Gail missed education and could be found volunteering at schools as a tutor and at the Pittsburg Library in the genealogy section helping people learn more about their families. She loved playing scrabble and was very competitive at playing.

She also loved to travel. She married David Dubray on March 15, 1992, at Arma. Mr. Dubray preceded her in death May 2, 2005. She was a member of the Arma United Methodist Church. Survivors include a brother, Dr. Jeff Luttrell of Ottawa; three sisters, Greta Kontas of Salina, Glenda Donlan of Washington, and Gennifer Luttrell of Iola; a sister-in-law, Leslie Luttrell of Pittsburg; special friends, Kim and Allen Meeks of Mulberry; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Gerald Luttrell, and a sister, Gwendolyn Dobson.

Graveside funeral services will be at 11  a.m. Thursday, March 26, at Mount Olive Cemetery, Pittsburg, with the Rev. Mark Crist officiating. Friends may call to sign the register book from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, KS 66712.
