Mary Lynn Beaman, 84, Spring Hill, passed away Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015, at Good Samaritan Society of Olathe.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at Bruce Funeral Home, Spring Hill. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. before the service at the funeral home. Mary was born June 10, 1931, in rural Neosho Falls to Eugene N. Leedy and Gladys G. (Lynn) Leedy. She grew up in Neosho Falls, graduated from high school and then went on to secretarial school. Mary married Dennis C. Beaman Jan. 1, 1952 in Tonganoxie. They moved to Johnson County in 1952.
Mary worked for the Shawnee Mission school district, USD 512, as an elementary school assistant and retired in 1988. She had a passion for reading and music. Mary will be remembered for her concern for others and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jay E. Leedy.
She is survived by her husband; daughter, Diana and husband Michael Newman, Shawnee; son, Clifton and wife Karen Beaman, Lenexa; four grandchildren, Michelle and husband Anthony, Scott, Michael and Tresa; two great-grandchildren, Leo and Rose and brother, Robert B. Leedy, Chanute.
