Mary Louise Saxton, 65, Iola, passed from this life Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, at her home.
Mary was born on April 6, 1952 to Steve and Mary M. Isaac, and made her home in Iola. She worked for many years as a certified surgical technologist for Allen County Hospital and Neosho Memorial Hospital. Mary then worked as a certified medical assistant for Dr. Glen Carney, Dr. Gordon Sipken and Dr. Scott Coates, until her retirement in May 2017. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Parish in Humboldt. Mary loved spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks, being by the ocean, spending time with the grandkids, gardening and taking care of animals.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, and brother George Isaac.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas, of the home; sons Mark Burton of the home, Richard E. Burton and wife Wendy, Humboldt, and son Paul C. Burton and wife Linette, Colony; daughter, Ginger Burton, Mount Vernon, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and sister, Regina Isaac, Reedville, Va.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Humboldt. Burial will follow in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Gas. The family will greet friends following a 6 p.m. Rosary Sunday at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 U.S. 54, Iola.
