Thelma G. Morrow, 78, of LaHarpe died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at her home after an extended illness.
She was born April 1, 1932, in rural Redfield, the daughter of Ernest Benton and Emma C. (Green) Brown. She grew up in LaHarpe and graduated from Elsmore High School where she attended her senior year.
She married LG Garrison and they lived in the Allen County area before they were divorced. She then married Harold W. Galemore and they made their home in Yates Center. He died March 29, 1965. She married Kenneth Morrow and they made their home in Rosalia. They divorced and she moved to LaHarpe where she had lived since 1971.
She worked at numerous jobs during her life including Haldex Brake Corporation and running a cafe at the sale barn in Gas. She was a member of Reachout Christian Church in Chanute.
She is survived by two sons, Gary Garrison, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Joe Garrison, Carlyle; three daughters, Debra Schommer and Donna Schommer, both of Chanute, and Myrna Castle, Humboldt; a sister, Elizabeth Potts, Enterprise, Ala.; 15 grandchildren; and  24 great-grandchildren.
An infant son, Warren Lee Galemore, an infant great-grandson, Jeremiah McGinnes, a brother, George Brown, and three sisters, Isobelle Herring, Kathleen Amos and Martha Greathouse, died earlier.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at  Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel in Iola.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Rusty Newman will officiate. Burial will be in Kern Cemetery southeast of Humboldt.
