Dear editor,
Concerning the Aug. 4 story about Allen Community College’s new partnership with Kansas City University to fast-track medical careers, from what I read, this fast-tracking will do away with the need for MCAT, the Medical College Admission Test, and DAT, the Dental Admission Test, scores.
Aren’t the purpose of those tests to determine the best and brightest and weed out the ones who woke up one morning and said to themselves, “I think I’ll be a doctor”?
Sincerely,
Kevin Cation,
LaHarpe, Kan.
