OTTAWA — Allen Community College’s softball team split contests with Ottawa University’s junior varsity squad on Monday.
Allen fell to Ottawa 12-11 in game one. The Lady Red Devils led 7-2 after the third inning, but Ottawa struck for seven runs in the fourth to end up with the win.
Cassidy Reynolds led the team with two hits, including a triple, and three RBIs. Cheyanne Daniels had a single, double and RBI. Ashley Womack had two singles and an RBI. Erin Pearly reached base on two singles and had an RBI. Erika King had three hits and an RBI. Jordan Barber had an RBI. Alana Renshaw had two singles.
In game two, Allen won 10-1.
Womack led the team with three hits — a home run, triple and double. She ended the game with five RBIs. Reynolds and Barber each had a hit and RBI. Renshaw had an RBI. King and Daniels each had two singles. Kayla Bourgeois and Emmy McManigal each had a single.
ACC (12-27) hosts Cottey College in a doubleheader at 2 p.m. on Wednesday. The team will travel to Neosho for the first round of regionals on Saturday for another 2 p.m. doubleheader.
