Iola's 13U Mustang baseball team narrowly missed out on a state championship Sunday, falling 5-4 in the championship game at its state tournament in Lenexa.

LENEXA — Iola’s 13U Mustangs baseball team captured second place in their state championship tournament over the weekend.

After going 1-1 in pool play Saturday, the Mustangs  went 3-1 Sunday, falling 5-4 in the championship game.
