Defensively, senior libero Skylar Hottenstein, who also tallied her 100th career victory, had a team-leading 24 digs. Hillmon had two blocks.
Hillmon had the hot hand against Fredonia with nine kills, but Hull was close to matching her with seven. Sophomore Bailey Daniels stepped in for a team-leading four aces, followed by Hull with three. Defensively, Hottenstein seemed on point with 14 digs. Meadows was not far behind her with 13. Hillmon remained Humboldt’s block leader for match two, but not without contributions from Hull and Jadey Ellis, who had one each.
