Lady Cubs fall on the road to Erie

Humboldt volleyball traveled to Erie on Tuesday for what was supposed to be a triangular with Olathe-Metro but ended up just being a Tri-Valley duel with the Lady Devils.
The teams played twice with one of the games counting toward league standings. Humboldt was swept in both matches.
Humboldt lost the first match 25-15 and 25-21.
The Lady Cubs struggled from the serving line, recording just one ace while racking up three errors.
Aricah McCall had four kills and Kaylie Johnson had three. Camrie Farran and Savanna Puckett each had two kills. McCall and Jada Dangerfield each had a block and Alayna Johnson had 12 assists.
Defensively, Madison Gean and Emma Johnson each had 10 digs.
In the second match, the Lady Cubs lost 25-23 and 25-19.
McCall had seven kills and Johnson had five. McCall also had two aces and eight digs.
Alayna Johnson had 15 assists and Gean had seven digs.
The Lady Cub junior varsity won 25-19, 25-13 and 17-25.  
Humboldt will travel to Caney Valley on Tuesday to take on the Lady Chargers and Neodesha.
