Moran’s Hamm going to state
TOPEKA — Allen County Kids Wrestling Club Mat Warriors Mike Armstrong and Stephen McDonald came up short of reaching the 2010 Kansas Kids Wrestling state tournament.
The two Iola wrestlers competed in the Kansas Kids Wrestling District I tournament in Topeka last Saturday.
Armstrong went 0-2 after a first-round bye to be eliminated in the 14-and-under 115-pound weight class. McDonald was 0-2 after a second-round bye and out of contention in the high school division’s 185-pound weight class.
LANE HAMM of Moran, who wrestles with the Parsons Kids Club, reached this weekend’s state tournment in Topeka. Hamm finished fourth in the 14-and-under 235-pound weight class.
