BURLINGTON — The Iola Middle School wrestling team came up big Thursday in Burlington, finishing second in the Burlington Bobcat Classic.
The second place finish is the highest for the Ponies in 10 years. The Ponies won 42 of their 59 matches.
Brock Sander, Gage Scheibmeir, Adam Atwell, Holden Barker, Trent Jones, Tyler Boeken, Kolton LaCrone, Nevaeh Cuellar and Micayla Moen finished first in their classes.
The meet was their first of the season. They will host their own tournament on Tuesday.
