HUMBOLDT — It was a banner night for the Humboldt Lady Cubs, who nearly had a complete team sweep while hosting Neodesha and Waverly for their home opener Tuesday.
The Lady Cubs varsity team earned their first Tri-Valley League victory after sweeping the Neodesha Bluestreaks 25-18, 25-23.
Humboldt also swept non-conference foe the Waverly Bulldogs 25-23, 25-15, improving their overall record to 5-3 and 1-0 in the TVL.
