Dorothy Welch of the Methodist Church welcomed all four churches of Colony to the Good Friday service held at the Methodist Church. Alex Cochrane of the Community Church gave a message for children showing them how to fit the pieces of Easter together making sure that Christ is the center of that picture.

Wayne Minckley, from the Cowboy Church, gave the main message on grace. Chase Riebel of the Christian Church gave the communion meditation reminding us that it is to remember what Christ did for us, to honor Him and to rejoice that He will come again.

Pastor Riebel talked about the “Significance of the Resurrection”  from 1 Corinthians 15:14-20. Watching the sun rise and fill our day with the light that keeps all things alive is much the same as the Son rising on the third day filling our life with His light and giving us eternal life.

For communion meditation, Bruce Symes talked about how the events of the week leading up to the crucifixion made it look like Christ was vulnerable but it was really God in control of every event and changing the course of history.

At Sunrise Service Sunday morning at Colony Christian Church Pastor Riebel read from Psalm 22. A video of apologist Frank Turek presented evidence for why the New Testament is true.

For the regular Sunday service Elka Barton led worship singing “A Thousand Hallelujahs,” “Thank You Jesus for the Blood,” “In Christ Alone” and “Graves Into Gardens.”
