A Moran man was injured Thursday when the bicycle he was riding was struck by a vehicle south of Iola.
Allen County Sheriff Anthony Maness said Arlynn Briggs was southbound on State Street, near Bassett, when his bicycle was hit from behind by a crossover vehicle driven by Sandra Thompson at about 5:30 p.m.
“She came up behind him and just didn’t see him,” Maness said.
Briggs was flown via helicopter from nearby Riverside Park in Iola to a metropolitan hospital.
His condition was not immediately known.
Thompson was not injured.
