Christmas came early for Marmaton Valley Elementary students Monday afternoon. Thirty Kindles — electronic tablets — were awarded to the school from the fundraising efforts of the school’s Parent-Teachers Organization.
Lindsey Drake, a PTO representative, presented the Kindles to Ken McWhirter, school principal.
The Kindles will be kept in the school library and available for checkout. Books will be downloaded onto the tablets.
