NASCAR’s Dale Earnhardt Jr., family escape serious injuries in plane crash

NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his family escaped serious injuries today when their plane rolled off a runway and erupted in flames in Tennessee, according to ABC News.

The race car driver was on board with his wife and child, along with the pilot and another person. The Cessna Citation landed at Elizabethton Municipal Airport and rolled off the runway. 

Earnhardt Jr. was taken to the hospital with cuts and abrasions; he was the only person hopsitalized.
