LAHARPE — There are few things Harry and Joyce Lee enjoy as much as working in the garden.

And the Lees aren’t alone, as the cold winter days begin to give way to warmer temperatures, and green thumbs young and old yearn to begin tilling and planting.

But what of those who don’t have the seeds for their harvest? Or what of the gardeners with more seeds than they know what to do with?

The Lees — active members of the LaHarpe PRIDE Committee — may have an answer.

LaHarpe PRIDE is hosting a seed exchange, from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at LaHarpe City Hall.

Donors and recipients alike are invited to share their seed stock, or try something new. (Think of it like a swap meet for green thumbs.)

Krista Harding, a horticulturist for Kansas State University Research and Extension, will be on hand to answer questions about planting, growing and everything else.
