Charles Robert “CR” Whitcomb, 86, Bronson, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025, at Anderson County Hospital in Garnett.
Charles was born on July 17, 1939, the son of Melvin and Ruth Whitcomb.
He married Inda Wiklund. He spent his later years with his partner, Susan White.
CR is survived by his children, LeeRoy, Bob and Linda; one stepson, Craig Thompson. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Iola. Burial will follow in the Osage Valley Cemetery, Mildred.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at The Venue at the funeral home.
