Delma Darline Goff, 86, of rural Savonburg, went to be with her Savior on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita.
She was born Nov. 16, 1939, to Earl L. and Anita B. (Wright) Smith in rural Neosho Falls, Kansas. She attended school in Stark, Kansas until her family moved to Iola her junior year. She graduated from Iola High School in 1957.
She married Donald Goff Sept. 5, 1959, and enjoyed 65 years of marriage until his death in 2025.
She began work for the U.S. Postal Service in 1972 as a relief clerk in the Savonburg Post Office. She became Postmaster of that post office in 1980 and later transferred to the Stark Post Office when the Savonburg office was closed. She retired in 2005 after 33 years of service.
Delma was a charter member of Savonburg Bible Church. She trusted Christ as her Savior at an early age. She enjoyed spending time with her family and attending the numerous birthday parties and sporting events of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by daughters Donna (David) Yarnell, Erie, and Darla Simmons, Chanute, and son David (Paula) Goff, Savonburg; grandchildren, Steven (Taylyn) Goff, Brian (Michelle) Goff, Kevin (Rhyan) Goff, Jason Goff, Michelle (Sam) Kuglin, Lauren Simmons, Kristen (Caleb) Durbin, Ben Yarnell, Kim Yarnell, and 13 great-grandchildren, and brother-in-law Gerald Swanson, San Diego.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, an infant sister, Joyce, her sister, Wilma Swanson, San Diego, and great-granddaughter Oaklyn Gray Goff.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 am, Wednesday, July 22, at Savonburg Bible Church, 209 S. Walnut, with Pastor Robert Varner officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Friends may come to the Pierce-Carson Wall Funeral Home in Erie on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to view and sign the register.
