OSWEGO — The Crest Lady Lancers fell to Three Rivers League contender Erie, but rebounded with a win against the Oswego Indians in Tuesday’s triangular.

After opening the day with a three-set loss to the Red Devils, the Crest Lady Lancers beat Oswego to maintain their place in the TRL standings at sixth with a 5-4 record.

Erie (12-7, 6-2) remains a few games ahead of the Lady Lancers after sweeping the triangular with wins over Crest and Oswego. Against Crest, the Lady Lancers took the first set of their best of three series, 25-23. But the Red Devils returned the favor by taking the second set by a score of 25-18, and then held off a late Crest rally for a 25-22 victory in the third set.

Against Oswego, the Lady Lancers pummelled the Indians 25-13 but received an unexpected challenge in the second as Oswego took Crest into extra points, ultimately falling 27-25.

Following Tuesday’s action, the Lady Lancers have a record of 8-10 and 5-3 in the TRL for sixth place. They return to the hardwood Tuesday for a triangular match in Arma against the Northeast Vikings and the Chetopa Hornets. First serve is slated for 5 p.m.
