MADISON — The Crest Lancers showed progress but the result remained the same, as they fell 28-20 in overtime to the Madison Bulldogs in Friday’s district opener.
With the loss, the Lancers’ record fell to 0-4. But with four games against district foes left on the schedule, they are far from out of the playoff hunt.
They return to the gridiron Friday in a battle of 0-4 teams while hosting the St. Paul Indians. The Indians are also hungry for a win after falling to district foe Marmaton Valley in a 61-16 mercy-rule. Kickoff for Friday’s contest is at 7 p.m.
