Allen Community College’s cross country squad competed in the Brooks Memphis Twilight Classic in Memphis, Tenn., on Saturday.
Racing against Division I schools like Alabama, Ole Miss and Mississippi State, the Red Devils faced some of their stiffest competition this past weekend.
On the men’s side, Ben Najman led Allen with a time of 20:23.31 in a four-mile race. On the women’s side, Kaitlyn Shoemaker led Allen with a 19:48.26 time in a 5k.
Alabama took first overall in both the men’s and women’s races.
