YATES CENTER — Donnie Bennett is 1/10th of a second off the Yates Center High school record time in the 300-meter intermedidate hurdles. Bennett ran a personal best of 40.9 seconds for first in last week’s Yates Center High Invitational.
Bennett also won the 110-meter high hurdles in 16.9 seconds. He was third in the high jump, clearing the bar at 5 feet, 4 inches.
“Our kids did a great job at home last week,” said Dan Berg, Yates Center head track coach. “We are small ( in numbers) but this is a great group of kids who work hard.”
