Iola Middle School recognized its students for their academic and athletic prowess for the 2025-26 school year Thursday, which also was the last day of classes for the school year.
On top of the honor rolls and team sports recognition, four outgoing IMS eighth-graders received special honors.
Corbin Coffield and Brynna Jelinek were named the American Legion Award boy and girl winners, recognizing their character, model behavior and leadership both in and out of the classroom. Meanwhile, eighth-graders Jaxen Mueller and Cora Boren were given Kansas State High School Activities Association citizenship awards as well.
