Plenty of fun could be found in the area over the Halloween holiday weekend, culminating with trick-or-treating on Monday evening. The Iola Elementary School offered its first all-school Halloween parade, and the Iola Public Library introduced its Haunted Library event. More than 220 children visited the library during the event.
