Iola High Schools Class of 1953 gathered for its 65-year reunion May 26 at China Palace. Nineteen classmates and six guests attended. Bill Hillbrant read the names of 49 deceased classmates, followed by a moment of silent prayer. The classmates agreed to continue having reunions every year on the Saturday before Memorial Day. The 2019 reunion will once again be at China Palace.
