EUREKA — Several Greenwood County Jail inmates were taken to a local hospital Tuesday following what was described as a hazardous gas leak situation.
The Eureka Herald reported four inmates were found unresponsive in the jail, prompting the evacuation, and that several inmates were later taken to Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka for evaluation. All were listed in stable condition.
The other inmates were reportedly taken to the Lyon County Jail.
