Iola artists Max Grundy, wife Candice and daughter Church are nearing completion of a mural on the side of a building in downtown Iola.
The trio worked in league to apply a base coat of paint to their design Tuesday afternoon.
Max Grundy said he hoped to have the mural, depicting images of the Fearless Fred Trolley, Iola’s downtown buildings and other notable landmarks, completed by the end of next week, weather permitting.
