Frances Louise Turner, 82, Iola, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015, at Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita.
Frances was born Jan. 2, 1933, in Yates Center, the daughter of James and Fern (Maston) Beckley. She grew up in the Owl Creek community in Woodson County.
On Oct. 3, 1959, Frances married Floyd C. Turner in Iola, and they made their home southeast of Iola most of their married lives. Floyd preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 1991.
Frances loved to cook, bake bread, read cookbooks and help others.
She is survived by her four children, Charles Turner, Carl Turner and Christine Muntzert and husband David, all of Iola, and Carla Boman, Chanute; a brother, James Beckley Jr., Wichita; a half-brother, Fred Braun, California; three grandchildren, Cara Roach and husband Chad, Alexandra Mitchell and husband Anthony and Dalton Muntzert, all of Iola; and a great-grandson, Ryker James Roach.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Norman Beckley.
Cremation has taken place. The family will host memorial services at 1 p.m., Saturday at the Iola Townhouse Community Room.
Inurnment is at Highland Cemetery, Iola.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF).
