Kim Alan Laymon, 55, Iola, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at his home following a two and a half month battle with brain cancer.
He was born April 16, 1962, in Pryor, Okla., to Kenny Wayne Laymon and Karen Sue (Freeman) Smith. He grew up in Neosho Falls and graduated from Iola High School. He had a passion for horses. He enjoyed attending auctions and spending time with his family, as well as his church family.
He is survived by his wife, Danna, of the home; four daughters, Sue Ellen Warren and husband David, Iola, Tonnie Parker and Nathan, Iola, Kylie Renfro and husband Josh, Lawrence, and Tereasa Laymon and husband Paul, Coffeyville; four sons, Paul Laymon and wife Britney, Dawsonville, Ga., Parker Laymon and wife Jessica, Madison, Ala., Riley Laymon and Crystyl, Iola, and Brett Wempe, of the home; 14 grandchildren; his parents; and one brother, Michael Laymon and wife Mary, Yates Center.
His service will be at 3 p.m., Saturday at Bible Fellowship Church in Iola. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery at Iola. Contributions in his memory are suggested to Bible Fellowship Church. Condolences may be left at www.feuerbornfuneral.com.
