Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of the 31st District recently accepted two gifts from local community groups. Craw-Kan CARES, a charitable program established by employees of the Craw-Kan Telephone Cooperative, donated $1,500, while the Iola Senior Citizens, Inc. chipped in $500.
CASA volunteers work with children and youth who are in the child welfare system and have experienced abuse or neglect. Volunteers advocate to ensure the best possible outcome for children, many of whom are in foster care. To learn more about CASA, visit kansascasa.org.
