Iola Reads and others paid tribute to first responders and those lost in the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. About 200 came to walk around the courthouse square, wearing lanyards that represented a first responder who died in the line of duty that day.

A Sept. 11 Memorial Walk to honor fallen first responders brought a crowd of about 200 to the downtown square.
