Michael Lee Quintero, 30, of Chanute and formerly of Coffeyville and LaHarpe died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010, from injuries received in a automobile accident west of Iola.
He was born May 2, 1980, in Coffeyville to Gene and Peggy (Morrow) Quintero. He attended school in Coffeyville.
He was a heavy equipment operator for Harry Byers and Sons Construction Company in Chanute for several years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping and swimming with his family and friends.
Survivors include three sons, Taylor Lee, Michael Lewis and Alex Gene Quintero, all of Chanute, his longtime companion, Katrina Doolittle, Chanute; his mother, Peggy Quintero, Coffeyville; his father and stepmother, Gene and Sarah Quintero, Coffeyville; a brother, Marcus, Coffeyville; and four sisters, Judy Sprague, Caney, Sandy Davis, Mound Valley, Dana Quintero, Tuttle, Okla., and Rachel Bratcher, Blanchard, Okla.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at River of Life Tabernacle west of Coffeyville. Cremation has taken place.
