ROSALIA — The Yates Center Wildcats season came to a sudden end thanks to a perfect game by senior all-state Central Heights Vikings pitcher Cely Crump.

Crump kept Yates Center off the scoreboard with 10 strikeouts over five innings in a 14-0 victory..

Yates Center had a bit of success on the mound. Senior pitcher Avery Eakin and sophomore pitcher Cayten Cummings tied for the team lead in strikeouts with three each. Cummings took the loss after allowing three walks and a pair of earned runs.

The Wildcats ended  the 2025 season at 6-17 overall.

With Eakin being Yates Center’s only senior, the Wildcats look to return in 2026 stronger and more experienced.

Central  Heights (21-4) moves on to face Southern Lyon County (10-12) in the regional semifinals Wednesday.
